Facility Overview

The Michigan State University Biomass Analytical Core Facility provides resources and expertise to assist researching in the characterization of biomass and cell walls. We possess analytical capabilities to characterize and screen feedstock materials such as native and pre-treated biomass, hydrolysates, conversion residues and lignin extracts. The lab is equipped with robotic solids and liquid handlers to maximize throughput and minimize operator error. Data collected from each analytical instrument is uploaded onto the Fee for Service web page for the customer to navigate and download. We’re happy to consult with you, free of charge, on your project to ensure the best possible results.
